Teams to target: Liverpool & Manchester City
Liverpool vs. Fulham
Liverpool’s impressive start to the campaign has gone under the radar and they ended Manchester City’s incredible Etihad winning streak last weekend.
Only Manchester City have created a higher xG than Liverpool, whilst statistically they’ve the fourth best defence in the league too.
Fulham represents a favourable fixture and I’d want a triple up of Liverpool assets in GW14.
Mohamed Salah is the highest points scorer this season and he’s an absolute must in any team this weekend.
Mr Chaos himself Darwin Nunez is another good selection and he’d be the second offensive selection I’d have.
With Andrew Robertson not yet ready to return, the budget Kostas Tsimikas is a gift from the FPL gods and he’s the third Pool player in what is some easy selections.
Manchester City vs. Tottenham
Manchester City’s home game with Spurs is one of the favourable fixtures this weekend and at least a double up is the way to go.
Tottenham’s injury list shows no sign of getting better, with key midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur ruled out for at least a couple of months.
Other omissions include both first choice central defensive options in Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. As a result going with Erling Haaland could be a massive error this week and he’s an easy pick.
Julian Alvarez’ returns have started to dry up and as a result the second City option would be Jeremy Doku.
Spurs have scored in every Premier League match this season and I’d probably avoid a City defender this week.
Opposition to target: Luton Town & Brighton
Brentford vs. Luton Town
Luton Town are enjoying their best run of the season, claiming four points from their last three games; however they remain a team to target.
Only Sheffield United have conceded more xG than Luton and they’ve a difficult fixture away to Brentford in GW14.
After a couple of dry weeks, granted against Liverpool and Arsenal, Bryan Mbeumo owners will be confident of a decent haul.
Brentford’s penalty taker and catalyst in the absence of Ivan Toney is a great bet this week and perhaps for longer, with his side set to embark on a nice run of games.
Luton have scored just six goals in seven away matches this season and as a result Mark Flekken is my keeper this week.
Chelsea vs. Brighton & Hove Albion
A tad harsh on Brighton who continue to have an amazing season; however defensively they’ve been poor and I’d want a Chelsea option in my side.
Brighton are yet to keep a clean sheet in the league and will be without three of their first choice back four for a trip to Stamford Bridge.
Raheem Sterling has been good this season, but Cole Palmer is the way to get, especially if you are struggling for cash this week.
All of Palmer’s four goals in a Chelsea shirt have come from the spot, but don’t let that put you off, he’s been excellent and returns from open play will come.
Other options
Arsenal vs. Wolves
Arsenal are top of the Premier League, but their attacking data hasn’t been as good as last campaign.
Bukayo Saka continues to produce assists, but he’s not looked like scoring from open play (in the league at least) in recent weeks.
Despite that, he’d be in a free hit side for me. Wolves have done well under Gary O’Neill; however they will be without numerous options this week.
Their most notable omission will likely be Pedro Neto, which only decreases Wolves’ chances of breaking down the Gunners.
As a result, alongside Saka I’d want a defensive option from the Gunners and William Saliba is the best bet.
GW14 Dream Team: Flekken; Tsimikas, Saliba, Zouma; Saka, Doku, Salah, Palmer, Mbeumo; Nunez, Haaland
