Teams to target: Arsenal & Liverpool
Fulham vs. Arsenal
Arsenal have the best defensive away record in the Premier League and will be confident of a fifth away clean sheet of the campaign in GW20.
They make the short trip to face city rivals Fulham, a side that have failed to score in four of their nine home league matches this term.
Fulham have failed to score in their last three league matches; however they will have Raul Jimenez available again having completed his three game ban.
Even so, stats would suggest Arsenal have a real chance of keeping Fulham out and I’d want an defensive asset from Mikel Arteta’s side.
Offensively they’ve struggled in recent weeks, but I’d be looking to punt on one of their options, with perhaps Martin Odegaard the best selection.
Liverpool vs. Newcastle United
Newcastle United have been awful away from home this season, with only Sheffield United claiming less points on the road than Eddie Howe’s team.
Things don’t get easier for Newcastle this week and they travel to a Liverpool side who have dropped just four points at Anfield this campaign.
Newcastle also have a rancid record against Liverpool, without a win in the last 14 meetings between the two, with their last league win at Anfield coming all the way back in 1994.
GW20 is the last league fixture for Mohamed Salah before he goes off to the African Cup of Nations and he’ll be a lock in most teams.
Alongside him I’d have an in-form Trent Alexander-Arnold with the defender averaging 8.5 points per game over his last six matches.
Opposition to target: Sheffield United & Burnley
Manchester City vs. Sheffield United
Manchester City have the plum fixture in GW20 and even without Erling Haaland and Kevin de Bruyne, they will expect to rack a few up against Sheffield United.
Sheffield United have claimed just two points away from home this campaign and are the only side without an away win.
Manchester City have drawn their last three at home, but don’t let that put you off, they will win comfortably here.
Julian Alvarez is on penalties in Haaland’s absence and is an absolute must have this week.
I quite like the triple up if I were free hitting and Phil Foden’s form merits an inclusion as the second attacking pick from the champions.
Ruben Dias should return from illness, but Kyle Walker is likely the best defensive selection.
Aston Villa vs. Burnley
Aston Villa will be looking to make amends for a disappointing Christmas period when they host Burnley in GW20.
Villa’s incredible home winning streak was ended by Sheffield United last weekend; however they still have the best record in front of their own supporters in the league.
Matty Cash is available again following suspension and he scored twice when the two sides met earlier in the campaign.
He’s not a guaranteed starter at the moment though, which increases the appeal of the fit again Alex Moreno.
Ollie Watkins’ points have dried up slightly of late, but it’s hard to look past him in a free hit side here.
Other options
Luton Town vs. Chelsea
Luton Town are enjoying their best run of form as a Premier League side, winning consecutive matches and nine points from their last six games.
Chelsea remain as inconsistent as ever, but you’d fancy them to burst the Luton bubble in the first fixture of the game week.
Cole Palmer and Raheem Sterling return from suspension; although neither are guaranteed to be picked with Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke scoring in their absence midweek.
Djordje Petrovic has deputised well in goal and looks to be the best budget keeper option this week.
Bournemouth are the in-form team in the division and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if they got a result away to Spurs here.
GW20 Dream Team: Petrovic; Saliba, Walker, Alexander-Arnold, Moreno; Son, Salah, Foden, Odegaard; Alvarez, Watkins
